Restoring Comfort, Function, and Confidence

Childbirth, aging, and natural hormonal changes can lead to the stretching and separation of the vaginal muscles and surrounding tissues, a condition known as vaginal laxity. Vaginoplasty (often referred to as surgical vaginal rejuvenation) goes beyond superficial treatments by structurally repairing the underlying pelvic floor muscles and removing excess mucosal tissue.

Deep Muscle Repair

We structurally reconnect and tighten the separated perineal and vaginal wall muscles (colporrhaphy), addressing the root cause of laxity rather than just surface tissue.

Enhanced Comfort

By restoring the natural anatomical structure, patients often experience an improvement in friction, sensation, and relief from mild stress incontinence.

Are You a Candidate for Vaginoplasty?

Candidacy is determined during a private, comprehensive consultation where we discuss your physical symptoms, aesthetic goals, and medical history in a safe, judgment-free environment.

Ideal Candidates

  • Experience significant vaginal laxity after vaginal childbirth
  • Notice decreased sensation or friction during intimacy
  • Suffer from mild pelvic floor weakness or "tampon slipping"
  • Are done having children (future vaginal births can reverse results)
  • In good general health without active pelvic infections

Needs Evaluation

  • Currently pregnant or planning future pregnancies
  • Experiencing severe pelvic organ prolapse (may require specialized urogynocological surgery)
  • Active, unmanaged gynecological infections
  • Unrealistic expectations regarding physical sensation changes

A Private, Compassionate Clinical Setting

We understand that reconstructive and cosmetic gynecology requires the utmost discretion. Our consultations and procedures are entirely confidential, performed in a private, highly sterile medical suite prioritizing your physical comfort and emotional peace of mind.

Clinical setup for discrete surgical procedures

Our sterile surgical environment is designed for maximum privacy, safety, and patient comfort.

Surgical Tightening vs. Laser Therapy

While non-surgical lasers (like CO2 or Radiofrequency) are excellent for mild tissue rejuvenation and lubrication, they cannot repair torn or separated muscle. Vaginoplasty is a surgical intervention that provides structural, permanent tightening.

Factor Surgical Vaginoplasty Non-Surgical Laser (e.g., CO2)
Mechanism Surgically repairs muscles and removes excess tissue Uses thermal energy to boost collagen in the mucosa
Best For Moderate to severe laxity, post-childbirth stretching Mild laxity, vaginal dryness, and superficial tightening
Longevity Permanent (unless altered by subsequent childbirth/aging) Requires annual maintenance sessions
Downtime 6 weeks of pelvic rest (no tampons, no intercourse) 3 to 5 days of mild rest
Anesthesia General or Spinal anesthesia required None or topical numbing cream

The Surgical Process

A meticulous 1 to 2-hour procedure focused on structural integrity and aesthetic precision.

1

Confidential Consultation & Exam

Your surgeon will perform a discrete physical examination to evaluate the degree of muscle separation and mucosal laxity, discussing your exact goals to formulate a tailored surgical plan.

2

Preparation & Anesthesia

On the day of surgery, you will be comfortably prepped in our private suite. The procedure is typically performed under general anesthesia or a spinal block to ensure you feel absolutely no pain.

3

Tissue Removal & Muscle Repair

A pie-shaped wedge of excess vaginal mucosa is carefully removed. The underlying stretched muscles at the back of the vagina and the perineum are then drawn together and tightened with strong sutures.

4

Internal Suturing & Closure

The mucosal skin is meticulously closed over the repaired muscle using dissolvable sutures. This restores the vaginal canal to a tighter, more youthful diameter while minimizing visible scarring.

5

Post-Procedure Briefing

You will rest in our recovery suite until the anesthesia wears off. Most patients go home the same day with a detailed, private aftercare protocol and prescribed pain management medications.

Your Recovery Journey

Healing requires strict adherence to "pelvic rest" to ensure the internal sutures hold and muscles heal correctly.

Day 1–3
Expect mild to moderate swelling, bruising, and discomfort in the perineal area. Pain is managed with prescribed medication. Bed rest is highly recommended.
Week 1–2
Swelling begins to subside. You may return to light, desk-based work, but absolutely no heavy lifting, squatting, or strenuous activity is permitted.
Week 4
The dissolvable sutures will begin to break down and may pass naturally. Discomfort should be minimal, though the internal muscles are still actively healing.
Week 6–8
You will have a clearance follow-up. Most patients are fully cleared to resume strenuous exercise, use tampons, and resume sexual intercourse at this stage.

Honest About Risks, Serious About Safety

Vaginoplasty is a surgical procedure and must be performed with exacting clinical standards to prevent complications. We perform every session in our ISO-9001 certified facility, prioritizing patient safety and strict sterilization protocols.

  • Strict pelvic rest for 6 weeks is mandatory; inserting anything into the vagina prematurely can tear internal sutures and ruin the result.
  • Mild spotting or bleeding is normal in the first week. Heavy bleeding is rare but requires immediate medical attention.
  • Infection is a standard surgical risk, mitigated by our sterile environment, antibiotics, and your adherence to hygiene protocols.
  • Changes in sensation can occur; while most report enhancement due to increased friction, temporary numbness during the healing phase is common.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Vaginoplasty and Labiaplasty?

Vaginoplasty is an internal reconstructive procedure that repairs and tightens the vaginal canal and pelvic floor muscles. Labiaplasty is an external cosmetic procedure that reshapes or reduces the size of the labia (the outer or inner vaginal lips). They can be performed together if desired.

Will this procedure affect my ability to have children?

While you can still physically get pregnant after a vaginoplasty, a subsequent vaginal birth will stretch the muscles and completely reverse the results of the surgery. Therefore, we highly recommend waiting until you are finished having children before undergoing this procedure.

Is the procedure painful?

During the surgery, you will be under anesthesia and feel nothing. Post-surgery, you will experience soreness and discomfort for the first few days, which is effectively managed with prescribed pain medication and rest.

When can I resume sexual intercourse?

You must abstain from sexual intercourse, as well as the use of tampons or menstrual cups, for a minimum of 6 weeks to allow the internal sutures to dissolve and the muscles to heal completely.

Are the results permanent?

The structural repair of the muscles is permanent. However, natural aging, significant weight fluctuations, or future pregnancies can eventually cause some natural tissue laxity over time.

Will I have visible scars?

Because the procedure is performed internally within the vaginal canal and at the perineum (using dissolvable sutures), there is virtually no visible scarring once fully healed.
